We are a group of cycling enthusiasts in the Hot Springs Village area who enjoy the social, recreational and outdoor aspects of cycling. Long gone are the days of fast pacelines and the county line sprints. We recognize and understand that some of us are slower riders and some of us are maybe a little faster. It is more important to us that we all enjoy the ride and no one is ever left behind, so we stop often to regroup and socialize.
The Ageless Bikers Club has 12 different bike rides that are 16 to 22 mile and some that can extend to 35 miles or more. These rides are on paved, quiet country roads (one ride has up to three miles of gravel). Several rides are “out and back” so the beginner rider can turn back for a shorter ride. Rides are rated easy (beginning riders) for shorter length or flat to moderate hills; intermediate (most riders) for the longer length or more rolling hills; and advanced (experienced riders) for rides that are longer and with more challenging hills.
We ride on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year, weather permitting. Rides are scheduled a month at a time so all rides come up each month. We also have optional longer rides every other week. From April thru November we include our monthly Arkansas River Trail ride and lunch at Flying Saucers in Little Rock. Start times are seasonal, so check the ride schedule. Winter schedule rides start at 1 pm and summer schedule rides start at 8 am. The only exception to these times is the 9:30 start time for the Arkansas River Trail ride in Little Rock.
